Steven Lobregt – Innovation for energy efficiency
14-02: Steven Lobregt, Sparkling Projects –Innovation for energy efficiency –TPM, room F
What are the indoor climate requirements of an ice skating arena?
What is the energy balance of an ice skating arena? How much energy consumption is needed?
Are there ways to reduce the energy consumption? Can we achieve a "greener cooling"?
What if we think of thermal buffers? Using changing phase materials?
Or what if we think of the resulting "green heating"? What can the city gain from synergy for energy with surrounding functions?
Inspiring lecture on innovation for energy efficiency.

InnoSportLab Thialf
13-02: Visit to the InnoSportLab Thialf
Why is Thialf worldwise well-known for top-training?
What does a top-sport training require? How can ICT support top-sport training?
What does a laboratory require in order to do so? How should the spaces be?
How should an arena be in order to favour the use of innovative ICT tools in training?
A talk between the students and the responsibles of the InnoSportLab Thialf. Looking at sensors, cameras, laser rays and softwares. Some of these are briefly presented in the video below.
